Pricing Structure

Our pricing structure is simple, straight-forward and affordable for you. (Non-profit organizations, click here.)


In-office, On-site and Remote Support:

  • Rate:
    • Office hours (8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday) $90 per hour
    • Emergency service after hours, weekends and holidays: $135 per hour. (Note: Sometimes we might schedule a service call after hours for a non-emergency, just for convenience to you. Unless specified in advance, this will not be billed at the emergency rate.)
  • Minimum: Half an hour
  • Beyond that: Service is billed in 15-minute increments

Pickup and delivery:

  • Amarillo city limits: $15.00 total, for both pickup and delivery.

Drive time:

  • Within the Amarillo city limits: No charge.
  • Outside Amarillo: You'll pay our standard hourly rate.

Diagnostic "bench fee":

  • When you need us to evaluate a PC or other component, but aren't yet sure you want to commit to fixing it, we charge a $45 diagnostic fee. If you decide (on the same visit) to have us work on the equipment, the diagnostic fee will be waived.

Driverless component installation:

  • If you would like us to perform a "simple installation" of a component that doesn't require drivers to be installed, such as a memory upgrade or power supply replacement, we only charge a $25 fee (plus tax) for that installation (additional drive time and pickup/delivery fees may apply in some situations). The $25 fee only encompasses the labor for the installation and does not include the price of the component.

Phone support:
  • "Quick questions": No charge
  • Calls 10 minutes or longer:
    • Office hours (8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday) $90 per hour
    • After hours, weekends, "bank holidays": $135 per hour
  • Minimum: 30 minutes ($45)
  • Beyond that: Service is billed 15-minute increments

Non-profit Pricing

Definition Computers recognizes the efforts of non-profit organizations. For registered non-profit organizations we offer a 25% discount for all service items ("parts and pieces" excluded) on every invoice, for every visit. It's our way of saying "thanks" for all you do for the community. If you are a non-profit organization, please identify yourselves as such when you contact us.
